Don't you just love Easter weekend! The days are warmer, the sun is shining and it's the perfect time to play dress-up and break out some of your new spring clothes and accessories ... Whether you're headed to church or brunch or dinner there is a fabulous ensemble or two calling your name. I chose some of my favourite spring fashion trends and created a few looks for each that I think would be perfect for Easter weekend:
Trend 1 ~ Bold Colour & Colour Blocking: This has been one of the season's hottest trends and my absolute favourite! You can mix and match your brights and neons or choose one pop of colour and style it with neutral accessories... I paired a bright blue ruffled top and blue pants with a cute white blazer and nude heels, I love this monochromatic look done with bright colour. I also paired bright red cropped pants with a fuchsia top, this is such a great colour combo. I finished this look off with fun leopard wedge heels and a chic black blazer. I think either of these outfits would be a fabulous option to wear out to Easter brunch!
Trend 2 ~ Pastels & Neutrals: I love that this trend always looks so polished and pretty, trust me you will look effortlessly put together in these soft demure tones... This season has been all about soft pinks, greys and pale greens. They truly work on every skin tone and they also look fabulous when worn head to toe... I'm wearing a grey dress and grey opaque tights with a simple cognac leather woven belt and matching pumps, I love how understated and chic this mix of neutrals looks together. My other outfit is a simple pair of black cigarette pants, a blush puff sleeve top and nude pumps- the epitome of classic. These looks would work for church, brunch and dinner!
Trend 3 ~ Florals: Nothing says Easter fashion to me more than a pretty floral dress, I remember being so excited to get a new dress every Easter from the time I was just a little girl! Lucky for us florals are huge this season... We are seeing them everywhere and on everything from pants, tops, shoes, bags and skirts but most importantly we are seeing a ton of floral dresses. I'm wearing a red floral sleeveless dress with a white blazer and camel pumps, I love this dress I feel so girly I just want to spin in it! My other outfit is a blue floral dress with sheer sleeves and I belted it to create a more defined waist, I think this style is what I tend to choose because I find it is always flattering. A floral dress is the perfect Easter look for any and every gal!
Do you have your Easter outfit picked out yet? What will you be wearing? I'd love to hear from you!
