So I totally took advantage of Aldo's amazing Boxing Day online sale!! I could not resist with already marked down prices and then an additional 30% off plus free shipping, I bought 2 pairs!! Furry Fury

Hmmmm, is this a fur overload? I am really not a fan of real fur anything and I often feel even the faux stuff can be a little over the top unless perhaps it is a great vest paired with an understated outfit... Kate Hudson was sporting a whole lot of fur in Aspen this week and as much as I love her bohemian cool style I think this outfit is a bit of a mess... What do you think, is Kate's furry getup hot or not??

Coach-y Christmas

Ok, I was soooo spoiled this Christmas by my lovely husband Peter... Imagine my amazement when I opened not one Coach bag but four!!! We took a trip to The Coach store a month ago and I guess he was watching every bag that I touched because he bought me all of my favorites and then the topper was a note sending me to take a look in the closet only to find this beautiful Coach Tattersall wool coat, I actually shed a few tears... My Santa Clause has great taste ;) Hope everyone had a terrific Christmas as well...

Ooh lala! I am loving Rihanna in her winter white J Brand skinnies in the middle of December... I think white looks fabulous during the winter months and should be worn all year round, try this trend out with a great pair of white jeans in a heavier denim (save the light weight fabrics for warmer months) and make sure the cut is tailored as white can be very unforgiving... Pair your white denim with a cool pair of boots, a boyfriend blazer and a colorful patterned scarf to achieve Rihanna's street chic style...

Simply Strolling

This is an adorable couple, Christina Aguilera and her husband Jordan Bratman were snapped walking around the streets of New York yesterday looking amazingly street chic... I am really liking her new bob haircut and she is still rocking her red lips and cat eye makeup, she sure has come a long way from assless leather chaps and crimped hair (remember the Dirty video)... I think she does high fashion and glamour beautifully and it is nice to see her day casual style looks as fabulous as her evening style... I am totally digging her black skinnies, leather jacket and slouchy hat but most of all my favorite piece of course is her gorgeous scarf, she is one hot momma!

I love the look of black from head to toe and Cameron Diaz does it with her usual casual cool style, this in an outfit we should all have in our closets... A great pair of black skinnies, a black cardigan or sweater and the ultimate piece is a killer pair of black riding boots to give any outfit a touch of street chic... When in doubt go monochromatic with black you will look lean and stylish with little fuss or muss... And just a tip, keep a lint roller in your purse when you are sporting this look!

Con Artist

So being a girly girl I have a zillion pair of heels, platforms, stilettos and sky high boots but I have a soft spot for my converse... I think they are the coolest shoes for hanging out with friends on a lazy Sunday or running errands on a busy Saturday afternoon, I absolutely love Christina Ricci's laid back style (her hair is adorable!) and she has been spotted sporting her converse around Hollywood for years now... I was quite excited yesterday to grab a pair of Hunter Green Converse to add to my collection (I have grey, black and cream) and they were 50% off so I paid $27 for them!! I think these are the go to shoes to give your jeans and shrunken leather jacket a cool street chic look, you can add big black sunglasses and a great scarf to snazz it up!!

Oh No Nicole!

Oh dear, this is a makeup artist's nightmare!! I just came across this photo of Nicole Kidman at the Hollywood premiere of her movie Nine last night and it looks like her makeup artist was a little heavy handed with her finishing powder.. This is an absolute makeup disaster and it goes to show you that makeup should be done in natural light or at least checked in it.. With the proper lighting this would have never happened, poor Nicole!

Let Them Eat Cake!

I was recently a model for my sister Kathryn's final exam for her theatrical makeup class and as you can see over the course of an hour and a half she transformed me into Marie Antoinette (semi-severed head and all!) It is amazing that with a giant gash across my neck that she could still make me feel pretty and regal, great work Kat.. P.S. I LOVED that wig!!

In The Navy

I love a smokey eye and this is a fun spin on it using deep navy to create a sexy cool look.. This shade works on all eye colors and this look can be easily achieved with a navy blue kohl eyeliner and a dark navy eyeshadow.. Start of rimming your top and bottom lids with the liner and pat your shadow into the lash line than use a q-tip to smudge the color into your lash line and brush away any excess powder... Finish by curling your lashes and apply a black thickening mascara, add some pink blush to the apples of your cheeks and pretty petal gloss to your lips.. Try MAC eyeshadow in Plumage and liner in Prussian to create this gorgeous look for a night on the town..

Back To Brunette

I think Nicole Richie is a beautiful woman and motherhood has done wonders for her style and image... Along with her eclectic style she is able to pull off any hair color and look fabulous, I think she looks great as a blonde but I totally love her recent transformation with this dark rich chestnut hair... This color looks amazing with her olive skin and big brown eyes and again I must say I love her bangs!! Now this is just getting too tempting, maybe I should start 2010 with a bang ;)

Hair Envy

I have been debating on trying a new shade of red and came across this pic of Ashlee Simpson when I googled red heads... I really love this copper color she had last year I think she looks awesome as a red head... I am on the fence on lightening up my dark red that I have had for the last year plus I absolutely love her haircut and I am a total sucker for pin straight shiny locks like hers.,. And once again the big bang question pops up everytime I see a great fringe like this... Oh the big decisions in life ;)

She looks so sophisticated and sexy, this makes me so tempted to get bangs again when I see a great haircut like this! This is such a great winter trend and especially with all the holiday parties this month, lace tights are an easy way to update your little black dress without spending a fortune... This look can be worn to the office or for an evening out with the gals, I picked up a great black lace pair at F21 for $6.80 and I have a cute black sweater dress that I am going to pair them with... This is a fun trend to play without spending a fortune!

SJP 1983

I love Sarah Jessica Parker, as do most fashion loving women! This is SJP at the premiere of her latest movie with Hugh Grant (some romantic comedy I will never see) last night... She is so adorable and has a killer body and I love the 80's vibe of her whole ensemble from her purple shoes to her side parted hairdo she is rocking the red carpet... Her one strapless form fitting mini is delicious in pink and looks like second skin on her... Seeing pictures of her on the red carpet makes me so excited for spring, I can't wait for SATC 2, that red carpet and movie will be a fashion feast for the eyes!!

I don't think I have done a Jennifer Lopez post yet and she is such a fashion icon, she does red carpet glamour to perfection and her street style is always cool and sexy and of course she is rarely ever spotted in anything other than sky high heels... I love this look she was recently sporting on an afternoon out running errands, the cozy gray sweater with the matching hat and look at those booties!! I am swooning over them, do you think I could pull this look off on a Saturday afternoon ;)

It looks like I'm on a green kick, maybe it's the season or perhaps I'm just a fan of the hue either way I am kind of digging the seafoam and jade green polishes that keep showing up on the red carpet and in the pages of magazines... Trendsetters like Drew Barrymore and Alexa Chung have been photographed sporting these fun shamrock shade manicures... I am not sure that I could make a long term commitment to green nails but it could be fun for an evening out, don't you think? I have been perusing my local beauty supply and came across a great shade from OPI called Hey Get In Lime and for $9 this is a trend I can definitely afford to try!!

Katie Holmes is a bit of a mystery to me, sometimes she looks chic and gorgeous and other times frumpy and sloppy... I came across this picture recently and although I am a fan of shorts with tights in cooler weather I absolutely do not like anything about the lower half of this outfit... The jean shorts are hideous with the stirrup leggings and heels, her figure is amazing and this does nothing for her... Maybe her stylist had the day off... Eek!!

I am loving the circle scarves out this season, I spotted a cream one at H&M a few months ago and went back the next day to buy it and low and behold they were gone! I have only seen them online and was ready to order one until to my delight F21 has the Endless Sweater Scarf in stock now and even better news is that they are only $10.90!! These ads are total eye candy and completely drool worthy as they were shot by the amazingly talented and world renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino... I think we will be seeing much more of Emma as an up and coming fashionista and I look forward to it!

I know I know, another Rachel Bilson post!! But I just couldn't resist when I saw this adorable ensemble... I love mixing sweet pieces with harder accessories and she does this to perfection with her casual cool style, the ruffle cardigan sweater is the key piece in her look with great basic jeans and a simple tee then finishing it off with a killer pair of black motorcycle boots studded bag and a slouchy hat.. Rachel's street style is effortless and cool and I love it!!

Plaid World

Yes I fully admit I am a major Gossip Girl fan, mostly for the fashion of course ;) I fell in love with this outfit Serena was wearing on Monday's episode, the over the knee boots are to die for and her plaid Mod DKNY tights look perfect under the gorgeous grey coat and cream cowl neck sweater dress... I really like the patterned hosiery trend but it can be hard to pull off and still look chic but this outfit is styled perfectly with just a hint of plaid showing and not overpowering the outfit or looking like a costume... Do you think this trend is wearable for all ages or is this one for the teens and twentysomethings? I have a great pair of burgundy plaid Hue tights that I haven't worn yet, I was on the fence but I think I just fell off!!

I was perusing the F21 website today as I am planning a trip there next week and I came across this beautiful black sequin tunic... I have to have it! And for $27.90 it is a total steal, this is the perfect go to piece for after work drinks or Saturday night dinner with the girls... My hairdresser has been raving about Moroccan Oil hair treatment for months and finally I decided to buy a small bottle to give it a try... And I must say it is a fabulous product it is an ultra light formula hair oil that is instantly absorbed by your hair, even though it is an oil there is no greasy factor with it... Put a few drops in your palms then run them through your damp hair and comb, it is an amazing detangler as well... Follow with your blow dryer and whatever hot tools you use and your hair will look shiny and feel very silky plus it protects your hair from heat damage... There is a whole line of shampoo conditioners and styling products that I can`t wait to try out and it is very affordable starting at $11-$48, I think it is worth it to invest in quality products for your hair especially in the harsh winter months ahead...
