After a fabulous St. Patty's celebration a delicious brunch is the way to go! Dressing for brunch depends on where you are going, we are going to a pretty casual restaurant so I can wear jeans... I stuck to one of my favourite outfit recipes and went for dark skinny jeans, an olive green sweater and a great scarf and now that the weather has warmed up I have been breaking out the pumps instead of boots. What do you think of this look? And what do you wear to brunch on the weekends?
I feel every woman should have access to a fabulous wardrobe, great hair and pretty makeup on any budget! And I can help any gal achieve this!! This is the story of all of my favourite things ... fashion, shopping, makeup, shoes, purses, boots, jewellery, hair products, pretty things, celebrities, trends ... and my endless quest for the ultimate bargain ...

Tickled Pink

I've been on a bit of a maxi skirt kick this week! I love this pink chiffon Old Navy find that I picked up last month for $15 and when I saw this pic of Rachel Bilson I was inspired to wear it today! I love how she wore hers with a casual vibe, paired with a basic black v-neck and cute sandals this would be perfect for a sunny Saturday afternoon... We are not quite there yet weather wise so I paired mine with this great royal blue blouse, taupe pumps and a great turquoise chunky necklace, I love the way these colours all pop together.
On a side note I'm super excited to announce I will be on the CHCH 6 o'clock News to talk about Toronto Fashion Week with Kate Carnegie!! I have 3 outfits I'm going to choose from (of course!) So it will simply be a game day decision... I hope you'll be watching!!

Maxed Out

I am a huge fan of the maxi dress and the maxi skirt, and I really love this look in a print... We are seeing them everywhere right now and I would suggest trying one out, they are a great piece to add to your wardrobe and can be worn every season. I picked up this navy and white print maxi from Old Navy last month for $11!! I love Olivia Palermo's outfit and how she topped her skirt off with a fitted tee and a tailored jacket so I thought I would pull out this cute fitted jean jacket I've had forever (seriously!) to top off my ensemble. Remember when you're styling a printed maxi skirt to keep the rest of your look quite simple and tailored, a simple fitted v-neck and metallic sandals in the summer or a fitted jacket or fine knit turtleneck and pumps in the cooler weather... Will you be wearing maxi skirts this season too?

Spring Dressing

We have had the most beautiful weather this week! There is that wonderful smell of spring in the air, I'm thinking it's time to start pulling out pretty floral dresses and bright colours and time to pack away the heavy sweaters and wool scarves... I absolutely love the outfit Nicole Richie wore recently on Live With Kelly, I instantly thought of my white blazer and what I could pair it with when I saw her. Although it is quite nice out my legs are not quite ready to go tights-free yet (a good dose of self tanning cream will do the trick!) and I'm wearing a really cute dress I bought at H&M last summer and tan patent leather pumps from The Bay... When spring has fully sprung I'll wear this look with my cognac platform sandals and I'll lose the tights!

My Boyfriend's Back

I think we all have that pair of go-to jeans in our closet... You know the ones that never fail us, they hit all the right curves and always seem to fit just right. Well these are one of my favourite pairs, they were actually a total bargain for $30 over 3 years ago at American Eagle and one of the best purchases I ever made! I can pair these boyfriend jeans with super casual looks like an easy fit v-neck tee and ballet flats or I can spice it up with pumps and a floaty top... I was totally inspired by this picture of Amanda Peet when I put this look together, it's a such cool option to wear out on the weekend and you'll look effortlessly stylish. Do you have a go-to pair of jeans in your closet? What style, cut and colour are they?

Fringe Benefits

I have been loving the fringe laden bags that so many ladies have been sporting these days, I especially love them on a cross body or hobo style purse... I was perusing forever21.com earlier today and came across this gorgeous beige hobo for $41.80 that I need to have immediately. At that price it is much more affordable than the $425 suede JJ Winters fringe bag that Paris, Ashley and Vanessa are toting (drool worthy!)... The F21 fringe hobo also comes in black but I think the beige would be more suitable for spring-summer and I have way too many black bags as it is, lol... There is such a relaxed vibe with the fringe detail and surprisingly you can work this bag day or night and with any outfit, it adds an element of fun hippy-chic to any gal's ensemble. What do you think of this trend, is it a do or a don't for you?
