Feeling Gray

I decided to cheer myself up today with a little online shopping... I have been battling a terrible head cold this weekend and thought some retail therapy may lift my spirits! And it has helped a little... I have been looking for a cozy chic cable knit cardigan and came across this one on the Old Navy website for $25, I think it will look great belted and over skinny jeans or leggings... This is the perfect transition piece to keep me warm and stylish as we go from fall to winter, now the great debate is whether to get it in cream also!

Happy Anniversary

Imagine my surprise when I opened up my anniversary gift from my wonderful hubby!! I am always talking about my quest to find the perfect riding boot and he felt that these ones fit the bill... They are simply beautiful, the rich cognac leather is so gorgeous and the fit is completely classic and sleek... These Etienne Aigner riding boots are also featured in my favourite magazine People Style's October issue!! He certainly has good taste, I think I have style trained him well!! lol

As soon as I saw this picture of Clemence Poesy (she recently played the girlfriend of Chuck Bass on Gossip Girl) I knew I had to post it... This look is so simple yet so polished and I think any gal can pull this off, the 3 elements of this outfit are a great pair of black pumps, a flirty black skirt and a simple white shirt... This is a go to outfit for an evening out or for any workday and can be played up with bold accessories or kept minimal depending on your mood... Sometimes keeping it simple is just as stylish as wearing a trendy piece anyday!

Runway Sunday

I had a fun makeup filled weekend! Sorry I had NO time to blog but I'm back now... My sister is also a makeup artist and it is so fun when we get to work together, we did the makeup for a Jason Myers (of Project Runway Canada) fashion show, there were also some other great local boutiques showcasing their beautiful clothing too!! I think we must have done at least a dozen models each and the look we created was a very dramatic dark eye done with burgundies, silvers and  black and a very nude matte lip... The result was totally glamourous and looked incredible up on the runway!!
