Check out these amazing Chanel over the knee boots on Claudia Schiffer, these are totally drool worthy!! I love how she paired them with slim fitting dark jeans but did a sexy tee and blazer for evening and then a classic striped sweater or cute plaid shirt for day... I recently bought these cognac leather over the knee boots from Sterling (they can be worn folded up or down) and Claudia has given me some outfit inspiration, although I think my boots were a little more affordable at $149!

Party Eyes

I have been trying to wear a little more colour on my eyes, I tend to stick with neutral shadows for myself but this time of year I start feeling a little festive about my makeup!! I was perusing the web today for some fun makeup looks and came across these great pics of Miley and Scarlett both sporting a rich shimmery plum eye, this would be a great look for a Christmas party or dinner with the girls and purples tend to work for all eye colours... Play around with different shades, I love MAC shadow in Plum Dressing it's a purple pinkish metallic shade that goes on richly and can be used wet or dry depending on how intense you want it to look... Do you have any purple in your makeup bag?

Birthday Boots!

I had a fantastic birthday yesterday and was completely spoiled rotten by my husband and daughter! Megan bought me a gorgeous hunter green lightweight scarf and a gift certificate for H&M and my husband totally surprised me with 2 pairs of gorgeous Etienne Aigner riding boots! I actually cried tears of shock and joy! I love the dark bordeaux pair but I am absolutely in love with the two tone pair, I wore them out last night and plan on living in them this winter!!

Love Lace

I think lace must be one of my favourite trends of the season, it looks amazingly chic for evening and is the perfect compliment to dress up your denim or winter shorts... But the only lace pieces I own are black which is simply just silly of me! While perusing my usual fashion sites today I came across these gorgeous ladies all in white lace frocks and wow do they ever look sweet yet elegant... So now begins the hunt for the little white lace dress (LWLD)... I think this would be a staple in any gal's wardrobe and could totally be worn all year round, I would wear mine with dark tights and booties in the winter and sky high wedge sandals in the summer... The possibilities with this look are endless, I will keep you posted on my search!

Gossip Girl Goes Green

So I was feeling inspired by a guilty pleasure of mine... Gossip Girl! I could watch it for the fashion alone and I am a huge Blair Waldorf fan, so when I came across this pic from last season of Ms. Waldorf in this gorgeous green cape/coat I knew I needed to find something similar for myself.... Holiday Do's

Here are some of my favourite hair looks for the holiday season, with a few parties coming up I plan on trying a few of these looks out on myself... The faux bob is such a fun way to sport a new glam style and I love big soft curls with a center part but I am also partial to the high chignon that we are still seeing on the red carpet... You can keep your look simple with a great little black dress and have some fun with your hair and try a pretty headband or beaded clip to jazz it up after all 'tis the season!!

'Tis The Season

Oh party dresses, how I love them so! I am feeling inspired by all the beautiful jewel tones we keep seeing on the red carpet and I especially have a soft spot for emerald green, it is such a rich gorgeous colour and perhaps the way it looks against my red hair has a little something to do with my love of it... I have spotted a few party dresses at H&M and Jacob in this hot hue that I absolutely adore, I will definitely post my purchases this weekend!!

Hot Pink Mandy

We haven't seen alot of Mandy Moore these days, so I was excited to see her on the red carpet at a recent movie premiere looking absolutely stunning! This deep pink jewel tone dress is such a gorgeous colour on her and the gold strappy sandals are the perfect partner... I am really loving the one shoulder frocks we are seeing everywhere, I think I would like something like this for a Christmas party I'm going to... Would you wear this look?

Platinum Pixie

So I'm still totally on the fence about Ashlee Simpson-Wentz new haircut... I feel like I took a big leap yesterday when I got almost 2 inches cut off and blunt bangs (lol), but this is a drastic change from her super long dark locks... Ashlee is a very pretty girl and can really wear just about every hair colour and her petite heart shaped face can pull off a choppy pixie do but I think I prefer her with a little more hair or perhaps it's a combo of the cut and severe blonde that is throwing me off... What do you think about her new look, is it a do or a don't??

I recently made an Old Navy online purchase and was so pleased when this beautiful cream double breasted wool blend coat arrived... The fit is perfect and totally chic, I have always wanted a winter white dressy coat and this gorgeous topper did not disappoint! You won't believe this but I bought it for a total of $55 including tax and shipping, regularly $115 I had a 50% off coupon plus an additional %15 off from a LouLou Magazine promo... This was a beautiful (and warm) deal! I can't wait to wear it over a chunky black turtleneck dress paired with my over the knee black suede boots...

I am loving Heidi's white Ann Taylor suit, she is the new spokeswoman for the line and wow this gal wears it well... I would totally wear a white suit any season and I love how she paired it with all black accessories including the cute fedora, this makes it so fall/winter appropriate... Make sure your suit is well tailored and it is best to keep the rest of the look minimal and chic to avoid looking like a character from Miami Vice!! Would you wear a white suit??

Banging Around

I am so tempted to go back to bangs, I have spent almost two years growing mine out and I am totally bored of my hair these days... I am going next week for a cut and colour so I think it's time for a fun new hair cut, I'll stick with my bright red hue but I think it would be fun to change things up a bit!! When I see pics like these of Christina Ricci I feel totally inspired to take the fringe plunge... P.s. I love her makeup in both of these pics, wow she looks like a screen siren with her red matte lips!!

I am loving Rachel Bilson's black suede Brian Atwood "Eastwood" platform booties!! I thought I would peruse the web and check out my usual fashion haunts to see what I could find, low and behold on the Forever 21 website I found these adorable and near identical booties for a mere $33.80!! This fabulous look that Blake Lively was wearing at a recent Hollywood event is totally chic and the perfect example of how to transition a dress from summer to fall... This hot pink frock is so beautiful and this colour is amazing on her, I love the bold dress paired with black opaque tights, booties and a fitted shrunken leather jacket... I want this jacket, I will have to keep my eyes peeled for a similar one to add to my winter wardrobe!!
